The Humane Societys for Seattle/King Countys mission is to bring people and animals together to enrich each others lives. By saving animals lives and placing these formerly abandoned animals in homes of their own, both the animals and humans benefit. . . friendship is forever. Founded in 1897, the Humane Society for Seattle/King County offers loving dogs, cats and other small companion animals for adoption. They provide shelter related services for any companion animal in King County who needs help. In addition, the Humane Society operates a spay/neuter clinic, education/community outreach and youth tours, boarding care, a Pet Food Bank, and Pet Project that provides supplemental pet food, litter, grooming, and veterinary care to pets of low-income individuals disabled by AIDS.
